Freddie's work is bold, playful and embedded in subcultures. He enjoys subverting audience expectations, which often leads to moments of subtle humour. By investigating the commonplace moments of life, and giving them scale, he takes ordinary situations and makes them feel extraordinary.
In his teenage years, Freddie learnt his craft shooting short films and documentaries. While attending the Northern Film School, he then began to direct music promos for friends. This brought him to the attention of record labels, leading to an ongoing collaboration with the artist, Master Peace. After the success of their first music video, “Brussels”, Freddie was offered the opportunity to direct all the videos on Master Peace’s debut album (for which he earned the Ivor Novello - Rising Star Award). Freddie received accolades at 1.4 and Shiny Awards as well as receiving 5 star David Reviews.
